Summary
Partnered with a design agency to build STARLUX Airlines' booking app from the ground up. In 2026, this app has reached over 100,000 downloads both on Google and Apple app store.
Role & Scope: UX Designer
I participated the end-to-end design of STARLUX's booking experience, focused on creating a seamless, intuitive flow for travelers booking directly through the app. My work included:
Cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, and engineering
Booking flow UX/UI design from scratch
Alignment with the external design agency on design direction and delivery
Define Problems & Opportunity
Design a booking experience that simplifies a traditionally complex process, reducing friction for travelers while supporting STARLUX's premium brand positioning and driving direct app adoption.

Research & Ideation Process
I began by transforming the existing map asset into a 2.5D perspective, assigning a designated color system to each building and section. I then collaborated closely with GE's internal specialists to identify essential information and tags, ensuring all data and headings were accurately displayed.
Strategy
I approached the design based on professional plant specialist feedback.
Progressive disclosure: Identified key information and key CTA placement
Simplified action model: Clarified hierarchy of the map to reduce cognitive load and emphasize next best action.
UX Accuracy: Minimize user error and match the user's expectations and business goals
